Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table, and featuring a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and flatulent French people, "Spamalot" is a little slice of historical lunacy. This musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail has been hailed as “a no-holds-barred smash hit,” by a critic in "The New Yorker." "Charles Lindbergh: The Lone Eagle," written and performed by historian and actor Steve Carroll, pays tribute to the indomitable will and ambition of Charles Lindbergh, an aviation pioneer most famous for completing the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris in 1927. The play examines how Lindbergh achieved worldwide fame with his flight to Paris, then paid the price for that fame by losing his privacy, a normal family life, and his firstborn son. The devastatingly-funny "Fully Committed," written by Becky Mode, follows a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan’s number-one restaurant. A cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam’s got his own needs to contend with—his recently widowed dad wants him home for Christmas, and he’s up for a choice part at Lincoln Center. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he manage to look out for himself? The play features forty wildly diverse characters interpreted expertly by Sam. Performances are 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday March 29 – April 27 and a 2 p.m. matinée April 10.
